Langs Beach is a dreamy white-sand beach sandwiched between Mangawhai Heads and Waipu Cove. Northland. It's not as popular as some of the other beaches in the area, mainly due to its slightly more "off-the-beaten-track" locations. But you'll still find plenty of people here in the summer, swimming and lying underneath the shady pōhutukawa trees.

It's only 1.5 hours from Auckland and a lovely day trip. But, if you have time, camp overnight at Waipu Cove or drive to the Uretiti DOC campsite - my favourite in Northland!

Personal tip: Visit on a Saturday or Sunday in the summer and you'll see the yellow Zippy’s truck selling coffee and real fruit ice creams :)
