It is the best beach for surfing for 2 main reasons.

1. It is a sandy beach with no rocks in the middle of the beach so you don’t need to be afraid of that.

2. There is a public toilet with heat to stay warm. If you visit in summer time make sure to try out the homemade waffles from the local old man. He is always there close to the church. The waffles are delicious. From the village you can also hike all the way to Saksun. The hike takes about 3 hours.
