This new cable car travels directly from Stechelberg to the Mürren village (does not stop in Gimmelwald).
This is the fastest and more efficient route for most visitors, particularly those visiting the Schilthorn peak viewpoint or Allmendhubel Flower Park.
How to get there
By public transport: From the Lauterbrunnen train station, a bus runs every 30 mins to the Stechelberg (Schilthornbahn) stop, a 14 min journey.
By car: There is a large metered parking lot next to the Stechelberg cable car station, about 10 min drive from Lauterbrunnen. See location on map.
In Mürren: the mountain station is located on the south side of the village - see on map
Timetable
The new cable car runs every 30 mins from 8:21 to 17:51.
The older cable cars (Stechelberg - Gimmelwald - Mürren) have a later schedule. They starting around 6am and run until almost midnight. They run every 30 mins until 8pm, then every hour. See current timetables.

The ticket you buy depends on where you want to go. Most day trippers will need a round trip ticket to either Mürren or Schilthorn. See current prices.
