bericht van Lara and Aldin

Once known as “The Incomparable Palace,” this grand complex was built to impress—lavishly adorned with marble, gold, and materials from across the world. Though now weathered by time, the ruins still echo stories.

We’re talking about El Badi Palace, commissioned in 1578 by Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur to flaunt the wealth and power of the Saadian dynasty.

Despite being stripped of most of its treasures, it remains one of Marrakech’s most captivating historical sites. It even hosts events like the Marrakech Folklore Festival, keeping its legacy alive in the city’s vibrant cultural scene.
