bericht van Tom & Laura

Bosta Beach is a stunning secluded white sand beach, located in an idyllic valley on Bernera - a small island connected to the Isle of Lewis.

It's one of our favourites not just because of the beach itself, but the wildlife (Highland Coo's run wild here) and the history (a recreated Iron Age fort is open to the public just beyond the dunes). The fort is based on ruins that were found in 1992, after a severe storm exposed stone walls of an ancient village.

Parking is located at the end of the road by the beach and there are toilets here too.
