Takayama Inari Shrine is a special Shinto shrine located in Tsugaru, Aomori, Japan. The shrine honors Inari Ōkami and it is characterized by its winding path of red torii. It is also famous for its memorial dedicated to American sailors who died when the seafaring vessel Cheseborough crashed off Shariki Village in 1889. Visitors of Takayama Inari Shrine are never short of things to do; from exploring the winding path, to admiring the memorial, they can spend hours marveling at the beauty of this unique shrine.
