Kinney Lake is the ideal destination for a half day hike in Mount Robson Provincial Park. This turquoise coloured lake is located just below the slopes of Mount Robson itself. It is accessed via the first section of the Berg Lake Trail, a famous backpacking route.

From the parking area at the end of Kinney Lake Road, the trail winds through old-growth forest to the outlet of the lake. It follows the icy cold Robson River and provides views of snow capped Mount Robson on sunny days.

The return hike to the shoreline is 9km with 200m elevation gain - allow 2.5 to 3.5 hours. It is also possible to continue along the lakefront to the campground (additional 4km).

Pedal bikes can be used on the trail. No pass is needed for day visits, only for overnight trips.
