Amongst all the fascinating musuems in Basel, the Hoosesaggmuseum proudly flaunts its title... as the city's tiniest museum!

Nestled in a 600-year-old house once belonging to Basel's first midwife, it's now run by Dagmar and Matthias Vergeat. It all started by chance when the owners decided to turn their window into a mini-gallery for passersby to enjoy. Since 1995, this miniature marvel has hosted a rotating collection of everyday items, from hockey pucks to wooden spoons and even pint-sized London double-decker buses!

Want to exhibit your own collection? Just bring in about 30 small items that fit in a handbag, and they'll take care of the rest.

It's a unique and charming spot that's worth a visit if you're strolling through the old town!

To find this quirky museum, head down Imbergässlein in Old Town, and look for number 31.
