Harder Kulm is one of the best destination in Interlaken for anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature, as it affords spectacular views of Lake Brienz and Lake Thun as well as the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountains. In fact, I will go as far as to say that this is the ONLY place worth coming to Interlaken for, because pretty much other places in this town are rather touristy!

The funicular station is a short 8 minute walk from Interlaken Ost station. From there, it will take you up to 1,322meters above sea level. Once you are up at the top, you can experience the gorgeous paranomic views. I encourage you to come in the evening as you will then be able to witness an incredible sunset from the viewing point. It's also nice to dine at the paranomic restaurant, which serves a mix of traditional Swiss cuisine and also some Asian highlights.

Harder Kulm is open from 7th April to 26th November. I recommend that you buy your tickets online in advance to beat the queue.
