If you’re looking for a satisfying bowl of noodles in Matsumoto, this place is a must.
Their mazesoba (brothless noodles dish) is juicy, rich, and so full of flavor you’ll probably be planning your next visit before you even finish eating.
The noodles are thick and chewy, the toppings are packed with umami, and the whole dish is just pure comfort food. My absolute favorite here is the Niku soba.
Heads up: the lowest spice level here is 3 out of 10. They can’t make it completely non-spicy.
When you walk in, you’ll find a vending machine near the entrance — that’s where you choose what you want and buy a meal ticket.
After you hand your ticket to the staff, the chef will ask if you want to add garlic (ninniku in Japanese).
If you don’t want any, you can shake your head or say "nashi" (なし), which means "without" in Japanese. Or just give a small panicked wave — they’ll get it 😄
