The unique Ponte della Musica - Armando Trovajoli is a musical bridge that spans 190 metres between the Flaminio and Delle Vittorie districts of Rome. This feat of engineering was designed in 1999 and cost approximately 8 million euros to build. Its stunning design consists of a metal deck supported by two lowered steel arches resting on reinforced concrete pillars with the arches inclined away from the vertical plane, giving the structure a light and sinuous look. The bridge connects Piazza Gentile de Fabriano with Lungotevere Cadorna at the Foro Italico swimming stadium and serves both pedestrians and cyclists as well as public transport. Named after the celebrated roman composer, the bridge is part of the Parco della Musica e delle Arti Project and has become a hub for locals and tourists alike to enjoy views of the Rome's amazing landscape.
