Il Palazzo della Famiglia Mu (木府 – Mùfǔ) è il cuore storico di Lijiang Old Town, spesso chiamato la “Città Proibita di Lijiang”. Residenza dei governanti Naxi dal XIV al XVII secolo, è classificato AAAA (4A) ed è uno degli esempi più importanti di architettura tradizionale della regione.

L’attuale complesso è una ricostruzione fedele del 1996, dopo la distruzione avvenuta durante le guerre. Comprende sale cerimoniali, giardini interni, padiglioni e terrazze panoramiche che offrono viste spettacolari sulla città antica e sulle montagne circostanti.

Il Palazzo Mu testimonia l’antico splendore del clan Naxi, fortemente legato alla cultura Han ma con influenze tibetane e bai.

The Mu Family Mansion (木府 – Mùfǔ) is the historical heart of Lijiang Old Town, often called the “Forbidden City of Lijiang.” It was the residence of the Naxi rulers from the 14th to the 17th century and is classified as a AAAA (4A) scenic site.

The current palace is a faithful reconstruction completed in 1996 after earlier destruction, featuring ceremonial halls, inner gardens, pavilions, and terraces overlooking the old town and surrounding mountains.

The Mu Palace reflects the glory of the Naxi clan, blending Han, Tibetan, and Bai cultural influences.
