Rosenlauital

You may have seen this iconic spot on Social Media quite a few times. And: For a reason. This is the Swiss fairytale valley that we all image Switzerland to be like. With views on the stunning glacier, the river with it's light blue colour and the green lush grass, it's SO magical to spend some time there.

How to get there?

To get to this viewpoint I recommend that you have a car, ideally.

You can also get here by public transort but the bus only operates every two hours. So it involves some planning if you don't want to strand because you missed the previous bus.

For public transort the station you have to type into the SBB-App is: Rosenlaui, Gletscherschlucht,

You depart and come back to Meiringen. Otherwise you also have the option to change busses at the final station at Schwarzwaldalp and take the special touristic line of PostAuto and continue to Grindelwald. (Just something to think about if you're looking to combine these trips somehow.

What else is there to do?

Right next to this iconic spot is the Gletscherschlucht Rosenlaui and I highly recommend you visit this glacier gorge. (see seperate pinpoint for more details)
