The Tokyo Imperial Palace is the main residence of the Emperor of Japan, located in the Chiyoda district of Tokyo. The park-like area covers 1.15 square kilometers and includes various buildings like the Fukiage Palace and the main palace where ceremonies take place. Visitors can explore the East Gardens, Kitanomaru Park, and Kokyo Gaien National Garden surrounding the palace. While most of the grounds are off-limits to the public, guided tours are available on certain days. The palace complex, completed in 1968, features modern structures with traditional Japanese architectural elements.
