Miradouro da Ponta do Rosto is a viewpoint located on the north side of the São Lourenço Peninsula, a natural monument in the easternmost part of Madeira Island. From this viewpoint, you can see both the north and south coasts of the island, as well as the island of Porto Santo on clear days. The landscape is dominated by steep cliffs and a semi-arid climate that supports a rich flora and fauna, including rare plants and protected seabirds.
🚌 To get to Miradouro da Ponta do Rosto by bus, you can take the Siga Interurbano bus number 113 from Funchal to Baía D’Abra, which is the starting point of the São Lourenço hike. The bus stop is about 1.5 km from the viewpoint, so you will need to walk along the ER109 road for about 20 minutes. The bus schedules and fares can be found on the SIGA website or use the app.
