Cascade of Time Garden is located near the southern end of Banff Avenue, just a short walk from the Parks Canada Administration Building. You can reach it easily on foot from downtown, or by bike along the scenic pathways that follow the Bow River. Parking is limited near the entrance, so walking is often the easiest option.

While visiting the Cascade o Time Garden itself is free, you must pay a Banff National Park entry fee to access the area. A Parks Canada pass is required for everyone 18 and older to enter the national park, and you can purchase daily or annual passes.

What to Do

  • Stroll the Pathways
Follow the gently curving paths that lead through terraced gardens filled with seasonal blooms, ornamental shrubs, & quiet pockets of shade.

  • Enjoy the Ponds & Water Features

  • Admire the Architecture
    Historic stonework, arches, & bridges

  • Look for Wildlife
Birds, butterflies, & small animals often pass through the garden, especially in the early morning or evening.

  • Relax on the Lawns
Find a bench or an open grassy area where you can sit, rest, & take in the surrounding mountain views.
