Maridaki beach, also known as Saint Panteleimon, is tucked away in the wild landscape of southern Crete. Accessible via a 15km dirt road or a scenic footpath from Tsoutsouros, this seaside settlement offers a peaceful retreat with a lovely pebbled beach, cool waters fed by a spring, and stunning vertical rocks. You will find the beach almost empty as it is not easy to reach. If you're in Tsoutsouros, we would definitely recommend trying the hike. This trail from Maridaki to Tsoutsouros is 2.5 km with almost no shade. The view a long the way is beautiful.
