Vintage gems in Gamlebyen, Fredrikstad

If you happen to be heading back to Oslo on your trip exploring Sweden, you should definitely stop in the historic town of Fredrikstad. There's many things to do in this cozy little town, from enjoying a yummy fika to antique shopping. We love making Mormors our first stop for a yummy latte and one of their chicken curry focaccia plates, and their cakes which are delicious as well. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for unwinding before exploring.

Right across from there is Galleri Mimosa, a home decor boutique that offers the most beautiful pieces and gifts if you're in the mood to shop.

On my first ever visit to old town Fredrikstad, I stumbled into a model train museum and I absolutely loved it. Perfect for families, or even just as a solo adventure.
