Parque Chino is a small but striking park perched on the Malecón in Miraflores, designed in the style of a traditional Chinese garden. With red pavilions, curved roofs, and decorative arches, it feels like stepping into another world, all while overlooking the endless blue of the Pacific Ocean. The park was built to honor Peru’s Chinese community, one of the largest in Latin America, and it’s a quiet spot for a stroll or a photo break along the Malecón.

For us, Parque Chino was a fun surprise. After wandering past modern sculptures and gardens, suddenly seeing this bright red pagoda against the ocean backdrop felt both unexpected and beautiful. It’s not a big park (you’ll only need 10–15 minutes here) but it’s a great reminder of Lima’s diverse cultural roots.

Pro Tip: Visit in the late afternoon for the best light on the red pavilions. It’s also a quieter alternative to the more crowded spots along the Malecón, like Love Park.
