Bright blue water and lupins during Spring

Photospot

The Pukaki Canal Road is an amazing location for reflections of the Ben Ohau range and during lupin season the colours that line the shores of the canal with these flowers make for an absolutely beautiful photo. Lupin season usually runs from November and December for about 4-6 weeks.

The Canal Road is gravel but is well maintained and there are plenty of spots to pull over and park your vehicle.

This spot is beautiful all day long during the lupin season, and I would suggest your wide angle lens for this location.
