The Glenorchy Wharf is an iconic attraction that is full of colorful history. Located on the edge of Lake Wakatipu, it provides visitors with spectacular views of the Southern Alps and the surrounding mountain ranges. As one of the oldest structures in Glenorchy, the wharf has seen countless generations come and go as they transport goods, take a boat tour or simply enjoy time outdoors.

Photography info: The Glenorchy Wharf has become quite a famous photography location, and can often be very busy during the day, but if you're up early and want to photograph it at its best, I suggest getting there before sunrise to grab a good spot and then wait until the sun rises to catch that beautiful golden light hitting the Humboldt Range.
