Whanganui River is an iconic destination in New Zealand, steeped in natural beauty and history. It’s the longest navigable river in the country and has long been a way for Maori and European settlers to explore the region.

You can enjoy a variety of activities around the river, including jetboating, paddling steamer trips, kayaking, and walking the Bridge to Nowhere, all with Blue Duck Station.

The National Park also offers incredible views of distant Taranaki Maunga and Mt Ruapehu, as well as lush bush-clad hill country and dramatic gorges.
