Art House Pilvilinna is a cool blend of art and nature. It's super colorful with paintings on the walls, sculptures at the pillars, and whimsical touches like a swan gate and a fox alley.
Paths lead from the front yard through the forest, along the beach, past rose-lined aisles, and small houses filled with art. Inside the main building, a high-ceilinged sea hall opens up with stunning paintings and a view of the blue sea. From the loft, you can admire the entire arched ceiling and the artwork that adorns the walls.
There’s a cozy café, a card shop, music playing in the background, and terraces that stretch all the way to the seashore, lined with scarlet roses and wild vines.
HOW TO GET THERE: Pilvilinna is located in Uusikaupunki, about an hour’s drive from Turku city centre. On-site parking is available if you drive. If you’re taking public transport, you can take a direct bus from Turku to Uusikaupunki. Once you arrive in Uusikaupunki, the Pilvilinna art house is a short taxi ride (or a local bus, if available, check the current schedules) from the town centre.
COST: €7 per adult, €5 per child.
WHEN TO VISIT: It’s not open every day, so check the official website. Weekdays are quieter for a peaceful visit.
PHOTOS: Photography isn’t allowed inside, which can be a bit disappointing, but it encourages you to truly experience the art in the moment.
