The Kaikōura Peninsula Walkway is a gem for anyone looking to stretch their legs and soak in some of New Zealand’s best coastal scenery. The whole walk takes around 3 hours, but the beauty is you can turn back whenever you like, which makes it perfect for all physical abilities.
The track winds along rugged cliffs and offers insane ocean and mountain views. You might even spot seals, dolphins, and whales if you're lucky!
The trail is pretty easy. It's a mix of boardwalks and well-formed paths, but you’ll still get plenty of elevated spots to take in those dramatic panoramas of the Kaikōura coastline. A highlight for me is Point Kean, where you can spot fur seals basking in the sun along the rocks.
