La Giant Prayer Wheel (大转经筒 – Dà Zhuànjīngtǒng) è la ruota di preghiera tibetana più grande al mondo, alta 21 metri, dorata e decorata con mantra buddhisti. Situata sul colle a ovest della città antica, domina Shangri-La Old Town.

I pellegrini e i visitatori la fanno ruotare in senso orario come atto di devozione: servono decine di persone per metterla in movimento. Al tramonto, la ruota dorata riflette la luce creando un’atmosfera mistica.

Pilgrims and visitors turn it clockwise as an act of devotion — it takes dozens of people to move it. At sunset, the golden wheel glows, creating a mystical scene.
