In the heart of Northern Iceland lies a mesmerizing sight; Goðafoss Waterfall. Translated to “Waterfall of the Gods”, it is firmly believed that this was once the place where Norse gods were thrown in the year 1000 when Iceland decided to adopt Christianity as its official religion. This spectacular natural wonder spans across a vast area creating a beautiful panoramic view. Visitors can explore either side of the falls, sit and enjoy the tranquil scene or even get down to the waters edge and paddle around.
