I am Javier Saavedra, a Venezuelan journalist living in Zurich.

I grew up in Caracas, where life is loud, warm, funny, intense and full of people. Maybe that is why, even in a calm city like Zurich, I always look for the places with feeling.

The coffee spot where you can sit and watch the trams pass. The lake corner where everyone jumps into the water after work. The badi where the day feels slower. The river spot where people dance, swim and talk until the sun goes down. The festival where music makes the city feel closer to home.

Zurich surprised me. Summer changes everything here. The city opens up. People go outside. The lake becomes part of daily life. The river feels alive. Suddenly, a quiet city starts to feel warmer.

This guide is made from my real life here. These are places I actually go to, places where I have walked with friends, filmed videos, celebrated moments, danced, swum, had coffee, watched sunsets and felt grateful to be in this city.

I made this guide for people who want to enjoy Zurich with more feeling. Simple plans, beautiful views, good coffee, water, music, summer energy and the small places that make the city stay with you.

This is Zurich, my way.
