Short roadside waterfall stop

Waterfall

Wishbone Falls is a pretty, low-key roadside waterfall that you can see with a short walk, so plan on this being a quick stop rather than a full-day outing. Expect an uneven, sometimes muddy track and a small unpaved parking area, so wear grippy shoes, bring a rain jacket and insect repellent, and keep gear in a waterproof bag if the spray is strong after rain. There are no facilities, cellphone signal can be patchy, and rocks near the base are slippery and undercut, so don’t climb too close or try to scramble above the falls. The falls look best after rain when flow is stronger and the light is softer in the morning or late afternoon, and remember to take all rubbish with you and respect any nearby private land.
