Perth City - best suburbs?

Scarborough Beach A popular tourist coastal area (with amazing beaches) with bars and restaurants on the beach. It is mid-range pricing and 20 20-minute drive to the city.

Cottesloe Beach is the more expensive upper class area. A beautiful place to stay and an iconic area in Perth.

Leederville is closer to the CBD with a good cafes and nightlife scene.

South Perth is a very scenic spot to stay with views of the city. However, it isn't really strategically located to access everything.

Australia's southwest?

Busselton can be a strategic location because it is fairly central between Perth and Margaret River, but it is quite a long drive overall. Busselton itself is lovely with a lot to explore so we do highly recommend staying a day or two.

Margaret River has some beautiful Airbnb's and is a stunning hippie style town situated in the forest, however it is a bit of a drive to the beach/other destinations.

Yallingup is a surfy, coastal, quiet area. You have lowkey vibes there but not much around E.G. no nightlife, few restaurants to go to.

Dunsborough is a great pick as it is on the coast and only a short drive to everywhere else. It has a small amount of nightlife, plenty of restaurants, and cafes. Plus a lot of local attractions.

Esperance (definitely spend at least 3-5 days here), it's amazing but extremely remote, so it should just make up a part of your itinerary.

Australia's northwest?

Broome is a vibey, creative coastal town, a short drive to many attractions in the area, and a great base for a while. It has great cafes, nightlife and restaurants with plenty of events hosted here.

Exmouth, we recommend basing yourself here for a while. Exmouth is a short drive to a number of incredible attractions including whaleshark swims and the Ningaloo reef.

Coral Bay is a smaller coastal touristy town, our recommendation would be to stay in Exmouth over Coral Bay. Unless you are looking for the more touristy, resort-style stay in a quieter, smaller town.

Karijini is actually very remote. We only recommend visiting here while exploring the gorges and then moving on.

Shark Bay (Monkey Mia) well worth a visit here if you have the time in your itinerary. Shark Bay's main town (Denham), has a bit less of a vibe. But the area is stunning, and if you have the time, you should definitely check it out too.
