We have been to 3 main thermal-fed springs in the Northern Territory, and this is our absolute favourite!

We liked it more than the famous Mataranka Springs, they feel more “natural” in our opinion.

The water colour is the brightest turquoise we’ve ever seen, it’s like looking into a gemstone. And the water is extremely clear, so bring a snorkelling set if possible.

There’s also a section upwards with little caves, we saw long-necked turtles inside!

Then you can drift downstream on a floatie and let the soft current take you to the other end of the swimming hole. It’s a long relaxing drift, highly recommended.

We even saw flying foxes. They are completely harmless and it was a great experience seeing them.

But keep in mind they can give off quite a strong odour, especially between January and March which is when they breed.
