Húsavik is only a few minutes away from Sandur.

There is a hike you can do to this village from another village called Skarvanes. The hike takes about 2 hours.

This village is well-known for its beaches and wave-watching. To go to the village of Dálur you need to pass from this village and soon the two villages with be contacted with a tunnel which makes the life of the locals much easier.
