đĄ Hallan Tupa â The Local Heritage Museum
Just next to the church is Hallan Tupa, a charming little local heritage museum. We truly appreciate how Finnish towns preserve and present old buildings and everyday items â and weâve come across quite a few of these museums during our travels.
Hankasalmi Museum Village is a vibrant museum located next to the Hankasalmi church and Kuuhankavesi School. With 12 historic buildings, including a 16th-century main building called Hallan tupa, visitors can explore everyday life in the past through displays of tools, clothing, sauna, barn, and more. The Artefact Museum in the old public granary offers a comprehensive look at peasant life and historical moments. Open from June to August, this museum village also hosts events like concerts and baking workshops throughout the year.
We only share locations, where we have been exploring and visiting as a family of 10, you get very special things in our website!
