Knez Mihailova is Belgrade's main pedestrian street and one of the most famous places in the city. Lined with historic buildings, shops, cafés, restaurants, and street performers, it's the central artery connecting Republic Square to Kalemegdan Fortress.
In our opinion, it's a place you should experience at least once. However, if you're not a fan of crowds, tourist hotspots, and busy shopping streets, it may not end up being your favorite part of Belgrade. We personally preferred wandering through neighborhoods like Dorćol, but Knez Mihailova is still an important part of the city's character and worth seeing for yourself.
