La Paceña is a Belgrano staple, serving up Bolivian empanadas and traditional stews from Argentina's northwest. The spicy versions are truly spicy, often the spice clumps together in one part of the empanada so prepare for a surprise. If you prefer mild, each empanada also has a non-spicy version.

They have meat and chicken, which are stand outs, but I also love their (not very Bolivian but delicious) Altoke - which is basically a pizza in an empanada - AL(bahaca) TO(mate) and KE(so), basil, tomato, and cheese.

Service is slow, it isn't personal. Come with time to spare, relax and enjoy the conversation.
