The best empanadas in Argentina are from the Northwest and at El Sanjuanino they specialize in delicious dishes and empanadas from San Juan.

These are some of my favorite empanadas in the city. Get the carne cortado la cuchillo - diced steak versus carne picada (minced meat). It's delicious!

Not in the mood for empanadas? Other traditional dishes, like lentil stew or locro, are great here, too.

Fun tip: On a beautiful day I like to get empanadas to go and bike/walk them over to the Floralis Generica for a picnic!
