El Zanjón de Granados in Buenos Aires is a fascinating archaeological site under an historic home built in the 1830's. All of this was discovered when the new owner was beginning to remodel his new home. Surprise!

El Zanjón is much more interesting than you might be expecting and if you have the time, I highly recommend the tour. There are three each day, 7 days a week.
