Bar Británico, a historic Bar Notable in San Telmo has been here since 1928. Originally a meeting place for English World War I veterans and railroad workers, it later became known for its three Galician owners who ran the bar for over four decades.

After a brief closure and change in ownership, Bar Británico still retains its old-school charm, serving up classic Argentine dishes and coffee to locals (and a few of us happy to be there tourists).
