Mirador Bandurrias is panoramic viewpoint of Lago Lacar and SMA. You can reach it by driving on Ruta 48 towards Hua Hum for about 8 kiometers. You'll see a sign to turn off into the parking lot and then it is just a short walk from there to the viewpoint.

You can also hike here from downtown San Martin de los Andes as a portion of La Islita Hike, it is around 3 kilometers to this viewpoint then you would continue hiking to La Islita. But the hike to just this viewpoint is 1.5 hours round trip, if you only want to hike to Bandurrias.

You will pay an entrance fee to access the area because it is located on Mapuche community land. Bring cash to pay this fee, which was 7,000 pesos in November 2025 (expect inflation to change this price). Bring cash.
