Only in Buenos Aires is the most upscale mall housed in a historic livestock auction house. Patio Bullrich in Recoleta was the city’s first shopping center in 1988, before that it was an auction house for all things collectable, cattle, and pure bred horses.
Today, the gargoyle-esque statues of horses and cattle look down on rich shoppers. Grab a coffee or glass of wine under the domes in the dining hall or grab a sweater in the upscale shops (don’t worry, there’s also a Zara and Rhapsodia for the commoners among us).
