Fisherman's Bastion
Sightseeing
Directions

Visiting Fisherman’s Bastion is like stepping into a fairytale castle! This Neo-Gothic terrace looks like it was made for storybook adventures and offers some of the best panoramic views of Budapest, especially of the Parliament across the river. The good news? Wandering around most of the Bastion is free! You can explore the lower terraces, take in the views, and snap a ton of photos without spending a dime.

If you want to get up to the upper terraces for the absolute best views (especially at sunset!), there’s a small fee—about 1,000 HUF (around $3 USD). But trust me, it’s worth it! You only need 30-45 minutes to explore, but you might want to linger a little longer just to soak up the magical atmosphere.
