The church of Santa Maria mayor is the oldest Cathedral in the city of Lisbon. It's a roman catholic church and is one of those things you just gotta see. Today the church goes under two more common names Sé Church or Lisbon Church.

The building is absolutely stunning and standing beautifully in the old quarter of Alfama, right at the famous viewpoint of Portas do Sol. There is no chance that you won't be passing this beautiful church, so you might as well pop in and have a look.
