These ruins used to be a sugarcane mill in the early days of the settlement on Madeira Island. We like this place because it's a little pocket of paradise away from tourists. It's just a nice place to take a few photos and you can walk along the ocean and even cross an old bridge, but be careful. It looks sketchy!
