This gondola travels between the Zermatt village and Furi station at 1867m.

Location: Schluhmattstrasse 28, 3920 Zermatt

It's the first section of cableway that takes visitors the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise viewpoint. In this case, when you reach Furi, you would transfer to a second cableway headed to Trockener Steg.

People also use this gondola to access many hiking trails that start or end at Furi, including the Furi Suspension Bridge Trail and Furi-Zermatt Trail.

Open year round. Generally open 8:30 - 17:00, a bit earlier and later during high summer season. See current opening times.

You can purchase tickets online or at the ticket office onsite.

The gondola cars fit 8 people, running continuously throughout the day. The ride is 5 mins.

There is also a 1arge 100-person cable car that travels this same route to Furi. In most cases, you'll use the smaller gondola cars.
