Mt Rigi is a popular mountain viewpoint at 1798 m near Lucerne. You can visit the Rigi Kulm viewpoint year round by riding a cogwheel train up the mountain, from either Vitznau or Arth Goldau.

Round trip from Lucerne

For the best experience, we always take our visitors on the "Classic Round Trip" from Lucerne. It starts with a boat ride on Lake Lucerne to Vitznau. Then the mountain train up to the Rigi Kulm viewpoint.

On the way back, we usually do a short hike down to the Rigi Kaltbad station. Then a cable car down to the lake and boat back to Lucerne.
