This cable car travels from Oreslina (395m) up to the Cardada mountain area (1340m). At the top, you'll find a nice viewpoint over Lago Maggiore, children's activity trail and playground, and restaurants.

The cable car departs every 30 mins, travel time 5 mins. The cabin fits 40 people. The modern cable car was installed in 2000.

Tickets:
You can buy a ticket that includes both the Cardada cable car and the Cardada-Cimetta chairlift that goes higher up the mountain. Buy this ticket at the Cardada cable car station in Oreslina (not at the Locarno funicular station).

In most cases, you'll need a round trip ticket. If you plan to hike down from Cimetta to Cardada, you can get just a one-way ticket for the chairlift and round trip on the cable car.
