This cable car transport you from the Melchsee lake (1915m) up to the Bonistock ridge at 2173m. After riding the Stockalp cable car up to Melchsee, it's about a 15 min walk to the Distelboden-Bonistock cable car.

Open: mid June to mid October

Timetable: daily every 30 mins from 9:25 - 12:15 and 13:25 - 1625.

It carries 60 people. Travel time 3 mins.

Tickets: included in the Melchsee summer day pass (discount with or you can purchase individual tickets just for this cable car. Free with Lucerne Region Pass.

Children under age 16 ride free. Dogs over 30cm high require a ticket.

There is a self-service restaurant at the top with an outdoor terrace, but we didn't like the food very much. Better to eat later at Frutt Mountain Resort or bring a picnic.
