This gondola takes you from the Grindelwald Terminal station to the Männlichen viewpoint at 2,343m.

At the top, you'll find restaurants, the big cow playground, and start of hikes like the Royal Walk, Panorama Trail to Kleine Scheidegg, and Lieselotte activity trail for kids.

How to get there

🚌 By public transport: Take a train to Grindelwald Terminal. Exit the train and walk about 2 min walk through the station to the gondola entrance.

🚗By car: Drive to Grindelwald and follow signs to Grindelwald Terminal - near Grundstrasse 32, 3818 Grindelwald. There is a large parking garage attached to the cable car station. You get a ticket and pay when you leave.

There are two special gondola cars that have a karaoke setup with music and microphones. You don't need a different ticket to ride in this car. Just wait in marked line. Learn more.

You cannot reserve a timeslot. Since there are only two karaoke cars, you might have to wait a very long time to ride in one. With even just one group ahead of you, you'll have to wait minimum 19 mins for the next one.

Tickets

You can purchase tickets online or at the Grindelwald Terminal station from machines or staffed ticket desk.

💡 If you are hiking, explain your plan at the ticket office. They may have a combo hiking ticket for different mountain railways on each end of the hike.

Tickets do not sell out and you can buy them immediately before your journey. You cannot reserve a time slot - first come, first served.
