This gondola travels between the Furi station (1867m) and Schwarzsee station (2,552 m).

People use this gondola to return to Zermatt after hiking the Matterhorn Glacier Trail or visiting the Hörnli Hut. It's also used to access mountain biking trails.

Practical info

Open: summer season from mid June thru September. During high season runs daily 8:00 - 17:00. See current opening times.

The gondola cars fit 8 people, running continuously throughout the day. The ride is about 8 mins.

Tickets: Typically you would have already purchased your ticket at the Zermatt valley station. But if necessary, there is a ticket office at both ends of this ride. It is included in the Zermatt Peak Pass.
