Stoos Hüttä is a charming mountain hotel perched at 1400 m in the alpine meadows above the Stoos village.

We usually stop here for ☕coffee and cake while we wait for the Klingenstock chair lift to open so we can do the ridge trail. It has a great view from the outdoor tables.

It would be a great place to stay if you wanted to get an early start before the crowds arrived. They have private rooms for 2 to 6 people, with private bathrooms and showers. The furnishings are very simple, typical of a mountain hut.

To reach the hotel, you must ride the up the mountain on the Stoos funicular train - Grundstrasse 232, 6430 Schwyz. Bus stop: Schwyz, Stoosbahn
