This elevator is a quicker and easier way to travel between the Melchsee gondola and village (which are on a hill) down to the first lake. Even nicer riding up after a full day exploring the lakes.

You also get a wonderful view as you walk across the wooden walkway to the lift. Alternatively, you can just walk on the path that leads down to the lake, about 5 mins.

The lift is free to use and open 24/7.
